From the Joker to a Pig....

I have had some of THE most incredible days the past week! I will post more about that tomorrow as it's been a complete non-stop birthday week! I never knew birthdays could be THIS fun! :)
Anyways....I always love to post about new movies that I see....and we are on a little movie role tonight!
Earllly this morning we got back from going to the opening show for The Dark Knight! That was the first time I had been to a midnight showing and I want to go to all of them now because it's just so much fun and makes the movie 10 times more fun when the audience is all sooooo excited and claps and cheers at different parts! That's the way it should be! :)
I went to the movie slightly scared that I was going to be totally freaked out because everyone was talking about how scarry the Joker would be!
It actually turned out to be SUCH an incredible movie and Heath Ledger played the Joker so incredibly well I was blown away! It was one of the most intense movies I've ever watched but so wonderfully done and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!
I highly recommend it if you can handle scary looking people! :) But Christian Bale makes up for it in the beautiful people area to balance that out;) GO SEE IT!!!! I loved it even more because the whole thing was shot in my awesome city, Chicago, so I recognized everything! So fun!
Now we are going from popcorn and pizza to salmon pate and shrimp cocktail and watching one of my all time favorite movies Penelope! It is an incredible movie about a girl with a pig nose and yet has such a wonderful message! Loving who YOU are:)
I hope you all are doing wonderful and enjoying this beautiful summer! :)

I thought it was a good movie.. pretty dark and violent, though. Who did you see it with?

Sarah... I watched it on Saturday - and OMGOSH! What a great movie, I too was on the edge of my seat the whole time! Heath's performance was amazing - he nailed that psychotic persona perfectly. I for one can't wait to watch it again and I can't wait for it to come out in BluRay later this year. Take care and have a great day! //enoch

wow..I'm excited, and not because of the batman movie! I finally started a blog through blogger, so I can send you a message! Just a blog stalker and aspiring (VERY NEW) photographer. I would love it if one day you would do a short blog on what helped you along the way to become such an awesome photographer, and especially at such a young age! Oh, I'll probably go see Batman in a week or so.

I saw the movie again in IMAX, and it's definitely better! :) They even had the Bat car outside of the theatre!! I don't know if it was the actual car, or just a replica, but it was sooo cool!! :) I took a picture of it. :) There was also a guy there pretending to be the Joker! He had the face paint and everything!! I was too nervous to get a picture with him :) He acted just like him!! Lol! :)

Did you catch all the Illinois license plates during the car chases? Someone screwed up there! I can't believe they didn't change them digitally.

I didn't like The Dark Knight at ALL!!! I mean, it was excellent, no doubt. But it was just way too dark for me... I left feeling more compelled into the darkness than into any goodness. Ick. Did you just really enjoy the characters... or the action... or what? Curious.

Ledger was AMAZAING. Funny that you needed beautiful characters to balance out the Heath Ledger ugliness! Haha... when has that ever happened before?

Yeah...you ALL need to see it!! INCREDIBLE!

HA!! Joy!! Only you would notice that! Wow! I totally didn't see the plates! It was fairly dark....but I really just enjoyed everything about it....except for 2 face...I definitely couldn't handle that and covered my eyes during that part;) hehe!
Love you!!
