ThE interns #5

Whew...so this was the LAST internship of the summer and such an amazing time! August was my crazy busiest month of my life with literally something booked every single day, near the end I was tired but so ready for this internship! It was awesome though cause God knew what I needed, it was definitely one of the most chill internships and they were such quick, easy learners that it made my job very simple! We had such fun times with TONS of photo-shoots... even one the day before the internship started...out in the woods. Documenting Franktown Open Hearts, a ministry for young inner city boys. And several other model shoots and couple shoots! Of course we had to get the Nashville vibe though and go concert hopping to my friends: Adam Agin and Ben Schofield’s shows...both UNREAL artists!!
Of course good conversation all around and times of uncontrollable laughter... but through it all such great friendships were built! I love these girls soooo much! Check out the ***SLIDESHOW*** of the time and more on the girls down below!

Beth Henze
Beth definitely wins the award for the farthest traveled to the internship....coming allllllll the way from Japan she gets the highest award! Originally from the midwest but now over there for her husbands job she brought so many stories and culture things to the internship that I LOVED! I want to go there sooooo bad! She is incredibly sweet and offered to cook for us whenever needed. She’d always be up at the crack of dawn and when I woke up she’d be dressed and ready to work out which motivated me SO much! Her discipline definitely started to rub off on everyone! I’m SO excited for her new business! I know she is going to thrive in it because of her motivation!!
Jill Devries
I started following Jill’s twitter awhile ago when I found out that she was interning and I knew immediately we would hit it off! She would post different times about concerts she was going to see and of course they were all my favorite too! So when she came I immediately told her that she MUST move to Nashville cause everything about her was so the Ville. The awesome thing about her style is that she really draws other people like that to her even her clients! She’s shot some of the coolest looking weddings that I’m crazy jealous of! ha! Anyways...she is such an amazing person who super down to earth and connects with people really easily which I know is going to take her soooo far in her business and it looks like it already has!
Kelsey McGinley
Kelsey, another fellow Chicagoan found me through a bunch of my friends up in the city and decided that she wanted to be a part of the program too! THANKFULLY because she is incredible and such a wonderful photographer! It was awesome to catch up on old friends and joke about crazy happenings...I can’t believe we hadn’t met before! Kelsey realllllly started coming out near the end of the internship and is seriously hilarious! From the music video that her and I made to jumping in the pool late one night with all our clothes on. She’s the life of the party! ha! I know that her fun personality and awesome eye in photography will make her career soooo much fun and colorful!!! :) Check out her incredible new blog **HERE**

Amanda & Robert ::: Wedding

This past weekend I headed out to Sacramento to shoot Amanda and Robert's UHHHHMAZING wedding! I was seriously blown away by everything! First off...the two of them are amazing and make you feel like another part of the family... they are so welcoming and down to earth! Amanda even let me use her car the entire time I was there...so sweet! The love that these two have for each other is wonderful to see too! Once getting away from all the craziness near the end of the day and doing some pics of just the two of them...the way that they would look at each other just made you melt! :) I'm so excited for their future together!
The second thing that made this time amazing was the family! I'm friends with Amanda's brother Aaron as he is a tech for my cousin's band and we've toured together but I had never met his family...and wow. They were precious! Having 5 kids and home businesses plus big age differences in the kids made me feel right at home! The two youngest even wanted to hang out with Cassidy and I after the wedding! Too cute! At the reception the whole family even did a song for Amanda: "So long farewell" from Sound of Music! Hilarious!!!!
3rd awesome thing from the wedding: the LOCATION! Ohhh my goodness! Cassidy and I were litterally screaming most of the time on the way to the place as the pear ochards and rivers were overwhelmingly beautiful...but once we drove up I almost had to stop the car cause I thought I was going to run into something out of excitement! It was the Grand Island Mansion and I definitely could of shot there the rest of my life...or at least for the next week....;) hahah! Amazing! Wellllll enough of the talk! Check out the pics....and the **SLIDESHOW HERE** I threw in a few of Cassidy's pics into the show of the groomsmen! She is AWESOME!

Melissa and Tiffany

The last internship we did a model photoshoot of my BEAUTIFUL friends Melissa and Tiffany! We had actually shot Tiffany for the previous internship and she offered to do it again this time with her sister! She's incredible!! These two have some of the best style and I seriously want everything in their wardrobe! It's ridiculous. They had so many outfits to choose from that we had to save some for next time! Ahhh a photographers dream! Check out their hotness!!

Kelsey & Jonathan

Last internship, the girls really wanted to be able to take pictures of a cute couple! Last minute I called my friend Tiffany, whose photos you will see next, and she worked her magic and found one of cutest couple's ever: Kelsey and Jonathan! We were seriously squealing pretty much the whole time it was ridiculous! Kelsey is a musician and has a solo act as well as her own band that she heads up called the Kopecky Family Band! Check them out! Jonathan just moved here from Colorado...one of my favorite places ever! I think he should probably get into modeling...what do you think?? These two were sooo much fun!! Check out the photos!! And the **SLIDESHOW** here!!

Michelle & Josh ::: Wedding

A couple weeks ago I headed back to Chicago, once again, to shoot Michelle and Josh's wedding! It was truly such an amazing day! It turned out perfect! I love when people make enough time for everything, which makes the day so laid back! Even though it was the air and water show downtown Chicago that day it went on without a hitch! These two are so sweet together, I'm so excited for their future together! I LOVE when weddings have so much rich family history intertwined in it! As Michelle's parents got married at the church they were married at and she went to school there! Also, they had close to 40 or 50 people in the wedding party with the bridal party and sponsors and kids! It was such a family affair! LOVED it! The night ended with SUCH a great reception at the Renaissance Hotel! Michelle and Josh! You two are SO wonderful! Thank you for letting me be a part of your lovely day! :)

THE interns #4

This last internship was incredible as always! Honestly I’m sooo thankful that each one is entirely different with SUCH different personalities than the last ones! It makes it interesting and exciting to discover how people respond to everything! I’m SUCH the people watcher so being able to become friends and live with 18 different people this summer is quite the people watching experience! This internship was DEFINITELY the party internship...with 2 birthday’s in two days we were partying it up like crazy...literally...I’m sure people thought we had escaped the psych ward or something! With Rachelle’s birthday on the first day...heading out to Cheesecake factory and buying her SlimFast for her birthday present....not a cruel joke...she actually LOVES it! Then once we arrived home I headed out for some pre-birthday journalling. Getting back upstairs a little after midnight the door was locked and I heard them scrambling inside...finally after awhile they let me in only to find them with brown bags over their heads and eye holes cut out...doing a birthday dance for me then dancing out on the balcony like that at my command. Quite the entertainment!

After sending me back downstairs for another half hour I came back up to find my favorite cake...Funfetti that we all cut together and fed to each other. Yep. We’re classy alright!

Besides all the fun and games this was definitely the deepest conversation wise we’ve ever gotten in during an internship even on the first night talking about crazy deep things! I LOVED it! Staying up WAY late each night talking about everything from religion, to the way we live, and of course boys...it was wonderful! I enjoyed it so much that even though we all didn’t believe the exact same thing we could completely respect where everyone else was coming from and even joke about it afterwards! So great!
I miss these girls! Check out the recap slideshow ***HERE***!!

Michelle Anderson- Michelle is so incredibly sweet, from her giggling about not believing she was finally here to dressing up at the end as an adorable alien...still not sure how she pulled that off... she just oozes with love and laughter. One of my favorite memories of her was when we went to my church and it ended up being a Dominican Republic themed night so she just went right up to a guy who had just gotten back from the DR and asked if he spoke spanish, from there they went into about a 15 minute conversation in spanish while we all watched and laughed! She is just that type of person to just grab anyone and talk to them like they are an old friend! I love that about her! Check out her blog **HERE**

Jessica Mooney- Is hilarious. I remember one of the last nights we were all sitting around the table at a restaurant semi-quietly talking when she started talking and we all burst into the loudest laugher ever...so much that I’m sure they were close to throwing us out we were so loud;) You think you know her and then she would pull new things about her out the bag which would just add to the experience that is Jessica. With such a heart for people and awesome wisdom she was such a wonderful addition to the internship. Gosh I’m laughing now... Check out her blog **HERE**

Katie Haller- Every time I think of Katie I laugh and think of old people. That is her to a T. She laughs constantly this cute little laugh and she LOVES old people. Starting out the internship and throughout it she had a slight problem hearing us...cause I think we all mumble...and what she thought she heard made us all laugh hysterically. I think it was slightly contagious too cause we all started not knowing what each other was saying...it was brilliant. Anyways...besides how much she made me laugh, she was so amazingly sweet and has awesome style. AND with her being the only girl with all brothers she had a lot of boy advice too...;) Check out her SWEET blog **HERE!**
Rachelle Ferrier- The young one of the group...she turned 17 the first day of the internship! YEAH for 17 year olds starting their own business! Not even graduated high school and she is on the fast track to having one amazing company! More of a quiet one but every so often she had this boldness rise up in her that was awesome! Even in all our conversations she had a lot of wisdom to share too! Rachelle has quite the style though too...During the brand building day...I wished her branding inspiration page was mine! So colorful and fresh and simple. Check out her blog **HERE!** Pretty amazing!

Last but not least we put together a music video on the last night....of course we brought the crazy. Check it out.
